The Rights and Respect programme allows educators and all organisations to develop their support and deliver a range of programming to support their young people. We enable education and organisations to better understand the issues surrounding rights, respect and negative culture that are an issue within education and the wider world.
The DfE and Ofsted are calling for ‘cultural change’ and demanding that this is produced by professionally trained staff who understand the enormous range of issues this causes. We within SYUK have worked for many years within education seeking to support a positive culture of respect. We have sought advice from ’Everyone’s Invited’ and our Respected Girl professional community to produce a range of services to better tackle these issues
The Rights and Respect learning programmes are specialised lessons that can be taught in house by your professionals, supported by our subject specific professional training.
They can be taught in a range of interactive and positive ways:
- Co-ed as part of your PHSE programme
- In small groups for those students you feel need a clear message of support.
- Intervention groups for those who you feel are displaying concerning attitudes and behaviour
- Individuals where it is more appropriate.
Our RR programme and resources are designed to be adaptable to the needs of schools and thier young people.
The subjects covered in Rights and Respect are designed to be built into a comprehensive learning programme that can used as part of your organisation’s wellbeing and safe schools agenda.
