School's and academies benefit from the knowledge and ability to deliver effective social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) programming. SYUK provide the resources to help address the difficulties young people can face and have highly effective learning programmes and behaviour interventions.
We provide advice and guidance on the expanding needs of SEMH as part of our national remit and help academies to find essential support, resources and services. As part of this provision we support academies to find approved alternative education providers that match the needs of their young people and the whole school community.
SYUK is passionate about providing programmes and resources that can be adaptable and powerful. With this in mind we have taken each of our programmes and created professional development and training that can be delivered to individuals, groups of professions or whole school organisations.
We can provide this by:
- Staff training and development
- Therapeutic and development supervision
- On-line live training and mentoring
- Webinars and seminars
- SEMH support
We can provide you with supportive training that can be accessed, how you need and in a timely and cost effective programme.

The SYUK services and programmes have been designed to allow Multi Academy Trusts across the UK to unify and clarify their SEMH support services. Our services can be produced for all the schools in your trust, allowing continuity of therapeutic practice and the ability to use our assessment data system to track the results and the benefits of your support systems.
As part of our approved education provider services we offer advice and guidance to MAT organisations of the best services offered in your area.
It has often been a criticism of therapeutic services and ‘soft skill’ development that it can be hard to measure the impact. We at SYUK do not believe this is true and have designed a comprehensive assessment and data system to ensure clarity of service and impact. Each programme that we have developed comes with an essential initial assessment then impact assessment so you can clearly track and demonstrate how your organisation is providing support and enabling positive change.
Effective professional supervision and support is essential to the well-being and development of your staff. We increasingly expect our education professional to deliver therapeutic and supportive interventions. We believe that if we combine traditional therapeutic supervision with professional skill development we can equip our professionals with the skills they need, the agility to respond to the issues they face and effective, lasting professional development.
