Support Youth UK provide Employability Hub services to enable young people to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to transition into the next phase of their lives after education. We enable organisations to develop a comprehensive range of therapeutic programmes, employability courses, alongside work placements.
We feel strongly that we have the responsibility to prepare young people to be successful in the wider world. They need to feel confident in their abilities and have the skills to prepare themselves. Our Employability Hub providers share our vision and work closely with us to provide comprehensive support and guidance.
A young person can access our Employability Hubs at any stage, during or after their education and we will support them into work, traineeships, apprenticeships or college. They will begin by having a dedicated mentor who will work through a Building Resilience programme before they progress onto an Employability Skills course. These are combined with a regular programme of practical work experience activities. Once the young person has gained the confidence and skills, we can help to select an appropriate employer and support a regular work placement. We continue to support our young people once they are with an employer to ensure their continuing development.
